Grand Marnier Raspberry Sauce

Grand Marnier raspberry sauce is so easy to make and incredibly versatile. The Grand Marnier gives it a little something extra.

This past week I had big plans for getting some recipes made but my body said no in a big way.

On Monday I woke up with an intestinal bug that sat with me all week. Normally, I just try to let these things pass but I finally broke down on Wednesday and bought some medicine for it.

The real bummer was that I bought 3 boxes of wonderful raspberries at Costco right before I got sick.

I couldn’t even stand the sight of my refrigerator so the raspberries were well past their best when I finally got better.

This is a view from about 45 degrees above of a cut glass pitcher filled with Grand Marnier Raspberry Sauce. The bright red cause contrasts with the grey slate table. There are three raspberries scattered on the table to the upper left of the pitcher.

Out of three boxes, I was able to scavenge 2 cups of sad looking raspberries for this sauce.  The great thing about sauces, is the fruit doesn’t have to look great. It just needs to not be moldy.

I love Grand Marnier. There’s something about it that just makes desserts extra special.  Grand Marnier and raspberries go particularly well together.

The recipe for this Grand Marnier raspberry sauce only calls for a teaspoon of Grand Marnier so there’s no worries about getting children drunk. However, you can increase the Grand Marnier up to 2 tablespoons if you’re serving adults or you just want more citrus flavor.
